The 62nd CLASS PICNIC Was a great success.
It was held on SEPTEMBER 16, 2016 AT THE ROTARY PAVILION at Presque Isle. Bob Gaston was our emcee.

Enlisted USAF Oct. 26th 1954 Discharged Oct.26th 1962 Served 6 yrs Active; 2 yrs Active Res Flight Simulator Tech School Dec.'54 to Nov.'55 Chanute AFB, ILL. While in Tech school I was in Priv. Pilot Tng.- Soloed, Sept.'55 ... etc.
Electronic Navigation School Dec '55. to Feb,'56 England AFB Alexandria,LA.
Sent to: Kadena AFB Okinawa, Japan '56 2 weeks Staff School, 2 weeks Spoken Japanese class. Assigned to set-up & Flt.check - 2 Flight Sim's After Set-up complete, Transferred to Komaki / Nagoya, Japan until Jan. 1958. Returned stateside. Assigned to Web AFB, Big Springs,TX. Airman 1st class. Monitoring Student Pilots - Instrument Flying. Discharged to attend College-St.Petersburg,Fl.(1year)
I was tested & had qualified for Pilot & Nav.Tng. 1954 -Then, late Oct. 1958, I was
contacted to accepted Nav.School Harlington, TX. There were no class openings in Pilot Tng. at that time.. Dropped out of nav school 3 weeks before Graduation - wow It is an impotent position-but not for me.
Transferred to L.G.Hanscom Bedford Mass. AF Research & Development Command. - Discharged Oct.26th 1962
Served 6 yrs Active; 2 yrs Active Res.
