Today's Featured Biography
Olivia Garcia
Let's see...nothing major has happened since graduating from FMHS. I'm about to graduate in 6 weeks (and counting) from Florida State with a degree in Graphic Design and minor in Communications. Despite resenting FSU for the first few semesters, I've come to appreciate FSU as I get closer to graduation. I like that campus is small, Stephen Colbert came, awesome bands played during my freshman year, and of course, I met the most amazing people and had the time of my life. Looking back, I don't think I could've went to any other school. After graduation, I'm moving back to New York (moved to Florida in '97) and hopefully finding a job soon. I considered grad school but decided against it. While at FSU, I was in alpha Kappa Delta Phi. I think I've actually grown. I can't explain it but I do owe credit to this organization and all the sisters in it. I think I became more outgoing, confident, probably more of a loud mouth (but that's something I can't help), and more aware of different cultures and exposed to different kinds of people who had some part in shaping how I am now. I'm having fun living up my final weeks of being a college student and enjoying my freedom/free time/sleep time before I jump into the 9-5 ordeal. That basically sums up my life right now. I'm still the same person who loves the Beatles and Harry Potter, just older and ready/anxious to get into the real world.
