Today's Featured Biography
Mary Goodheart Hart
After FMHS, I went two years to ECC, majoring in Biology. Next was a move to Tampa and USF, where I got a BA in 1979 in Microbiology. I briefly worked in the USF Biology Dept. before getting a job with the Hillsborough County Health Dept. where I was a restaurant inspector. That is where I met my husband, Mainor, who at the time was actually my supervisor! Five years later, we were married. We have done a lot of traveling, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Panama, Barbados, Iceland, Antarctica, etc. and have taken lots of photos, both above and under water. We like to camp, snorkel, hike, visit the National Parks, go to our houses in North Carolina or Bradenton Beach and spend time with family and friends and dog (currently Maverick who is a 3-year-old Golden Retriever). I also have been volunteering with the Tampa General Hospital Auxiliary for over 30 years. I was the Auxiliary President for 3 years, and on the state board of volunteers (AFHAV) for 2 years. I am currently the Gift Shop chair at TGH, also the treasurer, and love meeting and helping people.
