After high school, I attended ECC for a year and then Santa Fe CC, and received my AA degree. Then I spent a year traveling with UP WITH PEOPLE, a performance group of young dancers and musicians (I wasn't good at either, but my attitude was pretty good so they let me stay!) It was a very exciting, stressful, and educational year as we lived with over 80 different families in 6 countries.
Then, I married Gary Butler (classmate Teri Butler's older brother!), had two wonderful children, went to fine art school at USF (Tampa), and relocated to Naples, where I've lived for the last 25 years.
As some of you may remember, I was a constant doodler on all my desks and notebooks, and that somehow evolved into a career for me. I have been very happy being an artist, and while I still do some outdoor art festivals around the state, I have transitioned into wholesaling my designs (on shirts, prints, cards, etc) to gift shops and galleries, and commissions for event posters. You can check out my website (www.norabutler.com) but its still a work in progress! I also have catalogs if anyone's interested in one. I'll bring some to the party!
Did I mention I was eventually divorced, and now have a new man...life and love can get pretty complicated as we get older!!
I can't wait to see ALL OF YOU !!! We are going to have so much FUN!!!
