Today's Featured Biography
Linda Cook Morrison
I was married for over 31 years to a Navy pilot who retired and became an airline pilot and is now retired from that. Now I work on an Army base near Tacoma, WA, as a speech therapy assistant and I really enjoy that. I went back to college late in life and graduated with a degree in speech disorders at the age of 55. Before that, I was a deaf interpreter, including 2 years interpreting for a deaf-blind student at Pensacola Junior College. I became certified as a Braillist, too, so I could Braille class notes and tests for her.
My oldest son, Brian, is a walking miracle. When he was a senior in architecture at the Univ. of Washington, he was in a serious motorcycle accident with a closed head injury. The doctors predicted that if he lived he would be a "vegetable" the rest of his life. A year later, he and I walked into the ICU of that hospital and his nurse and doctor were astonished! He now works for an architectural firm in Tacoma (he finished his degree the next year). He has one 9-yr. old daughter, Peyton.
My second son, Kevin, lives in Atlanta and does computer security for some big international company and makes more money than I will ever see! But he is a sweetheart and blessed with a fabulous wife and 3 great kids, Nico, Savannah, and Landon.
My third son, Greg, has 2 pretty daughters, Brier and Hallie, and he works as an insurance agent nearby.
After 3 sons, we went to "Plan B" and adopted Montaigne Alise (she now goes by Alise). She is married to a great guy, Andrew, and they have 2 boys and a girl: Eric, Aaron, and Abbey.
Then, after my divorce, I went on a mission trip with my church to southern Russia and I ended up adopting a beautiful orphan girl, whose name I changed from Olga to Olivia. She has been the delight of my older years and is now a senior at University of Illinois. She hopes to do her post-grad training at a college closer to home for a doctorate in physical therapy.
Meanwhile, my 92-yr. old mother moved up here from Fort Myers to live with me. Life just stays interesting!
As for me, I keep busy with work, singing in a local Baptist church, going to a small group Bible study, and every Friday night Mama and I go to a friend's house and play Hand and Foot. It's a fun rut to be in, for sure. That's my life...single now, but busy and blessed.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
