It was an awesome time going back to South High School and roaming the halls! We even got to go up to the observation deck of the tower and see the beautiful museum set up by the South High Alumni and Friends Inc. (SHAFI).

After High School I went to Concordia Teachers College in Seward, NE where I graduated with Dual Degrees in Teaching & Special Education, also receiving my Lutheran Teaching Diploma.
In 1993, I married my college sweetheart, Jon. He is a cheesehead from Wisconsin and we have become BIG packer fans. He had been teaching Middle School in Houston, TX. After our wedding we accepted positions at Cross of Christ Lutheran School in DeSoto, TX.
After learning that I was allergic to Cedar and after surviving 8 major tornadoes, we prayed for new teaching positions in a dry climate. Offers came in from Kansas, Denver, Arizona & Southern California. Being adventurous and wanting to leave the tornadoes behind we opted for SO CAL and began teaching at Redeemer Lutheran in Ontario, California in 1995.
I started my own business with Partylite in 1996 with the desire to subsidize my teaching salary. Within one year I had replaced my teaching income and given myself a $10,000 raise. So, I retired from teaching and went back to school to study sign language interpreting at Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
After being told that we would not be able to conceive children I started volunteer teaching, 4 hours a day at an inner city school that could not afford a teaching staff. I had an income but I missed the interaction with children.
Christmas Day of 1999 I received a miracle Gift as I became pregnant with my first child. He was born on September 11, 2000. While on our second Incentive Trip to Aruba I became pregnant with my souvenir, Samantha, who was born 4 days after my 35th Birthday in 2004.
I continue to run my own business with Partylite which has provided the freedom and flexibility and income to be at home with my children and involved in our local schools. It has also provided fabulous, exotic, all expense paid vacations annually. In addition the income allowed me to support Jon as he began and completed his Master's Degree and beyond these last 5 years.
He now teaches Geometry, AVID (Advancement Via Independent Direction) and SLC's (Smaller Learning Communities) at Fontana High School. He also leads the Worship Band at our 10:30AM contemporary worship services and serves as an Elder for our church.
My children are now attending Redeemer Lutheran Christian School in Ontario and I am beginning my first term as PTL president. I also volunteer interpreting worship services, writing children's lessons for church and Sunday school, leading a sign language choir, and working with the SuperStars (Developmentally delayed adult Christian Bible Study & Sunday School).
My Mom (Betty), brother (Joey), & Aunt (Anneta) still live in Denver so I try to get back there about every 18 months.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
