Today's Featured Biography
Sue Brigham Hiraoka
I attended Western State College and year and a half, but transferred to UNC in Greeley, as they dropped the major I was pursuing.
I've had many careers, from life-guard and swim coach, selling real-estate, catering to being a techie in banking, the oil industry and at United Airlines. After so many years in the corporate world, I went a different direction and decided to become a gymnastics coach/director, since it was my two daughters' entire world. My oldest daughter was coaching other teams, so I learned from her and my youngest daughter became my head coach and with the combination, we took our team from lows-skilled to winning several state-championships and placing in the top three in regionals. It was the most rewarding of all careers, as you could measure the growth with our large team of 100 gymnasts and see these girls become self-confident, happy and accomplished, realizing their worth.
Eddie and I decided to up and move to beautiful Elizabeth, CO and have a cute house on a couple of very wooded acres surrounded by a white fence, that I've always dreamed of. Our boxer and 2 English Bulldoggies, and flock of chickens love the freedom that this affords.
We celebrated our 40 year anniversary, in the beautiful Dominican Republic. We love to travel and just experience life,
We have a very close relationship with our three awesome (grownup) kids and their significant others, who live pretty close.
We have a 4 year old grandson and 2 year old granddaughter. I can't express how much we adore them and are grateful to be able to be a part of their amazing journeys, since they live close that we can be at their house in less that 20 mins (which happens quite often).
