Today's Featured Biography
Dana Yost
I agree with others, it's hard to believe it was 50 years ago that we were all in high school together! I graduated from UNC in Greeley in 1970 and spent the next five years teaching Social Studies and P.E., two of those years in the San Luis valley near the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Sometime later I got an Associate degree in Biblical studies from a Bible school in Jacksonville Fl and from there spent 8 years on the mission field in Guatemala, Central America.
One of the things I enjoyed most during my time in Guatemala was teaching Finding Freedom Seminars in churches, orphanages, women's prisons and a drug and alcohol rehab center. I was eventually invited to teach the seminar in a few other countries, such as Ecuador, India, Malaysia and Romania where I got to experience such different cultures and enjoy some great food as well.
After returning to the States I spent three years in Colorado Springs before moving back to Denver where I'm currently living. I'm still working part time as the director of the Prayer & Healing Ministry at a church in south Denver. Some of my favorite activities include hiking, par 3 golf, boogie boarding, and zip lining. Looking forward to catching up with many of you at the reunion.
