OMG-I can't believe we are at the 40th mark and I am sorry I can't attend this reunion because of other family commitments. My 2nd oldest son, who is 32, is having his 3rd baby and my youngest child, who is 15, will still be in school (yes, you read those ages correctly). Perhaps God willing, I'll make it to the 50th.

To this day, every time I go to a play, musical event, or theater, I remember the great times and the things we learned in band and orchestra with Mr.Lenichek. Although my flute is still in its case, hardly played in 40 years, I treasure the recollections of performing and the joy of doing something bigger than yourself. I remember being in the pit and the excitement of playing in "Music Man" and "Bye Bye Birdie".

The only thing I wish I would have done differently during high school was to wait and not graduate early in January. The previous class was already in college and the class of '70 was still busy being seniors. I probably would have ended up at a different school than Metro State College. But in the big scheme of things, my life has been pretty good. I've had some heartaches and problems like everyone else but I've always had hope-thanks to the examples of my ever optimistic parents and brother. I've been lucky enough to have done quite a bit of traveling-thanks to my wonderful, show biz husband. I've been blessed with rediscovering God, thanks to my inspiring children and grandchildren.

Anyway, this is getting much too long but I send a prayer out to our classmates that have passed on before us and a joyful wish to each and every one of you for a great reunion and sweet meanderings down Memory Lane. Cheers to Sandy, Duane, and all the others that helped make this event happen. While you are celebrating, have a margarita for me and give the Rebel yell!
