Today's Featured Biography
Daphne Laurel Bernstein
I attended the University of Denver before transfering to and graduating from San Francisco State University with a degree in Gerontology. I am currently an honor student at University of Massachusetts, working on my MS in Gerontology and Management of Aging Services. I was appointed by Governor Owens to serve two terms on the Colorado Commission on Aging, and advocated the needs of seniors in our state. I have worked in the field of aging since graduating from college, and currently work for the largest provider of senior living in the country, Emeritus Senior Living, as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
I live in Highlands Ranch, CO with my husband, Neil (married, 1999), my daughter, Kelton (born 2000), my son, Porter (born 2002), our watch dog, Rolex, and our copy cat, Xerox. Life is very busy and I am so thankful to Neil for managing a demanding career while running the kids to activities, helping them with their homework, and even figuring out how to host dinner parties while I am away.
My mom still lives in the same house on Adams St, and my dad lives just a few miles away from me. Fortunately, my sisters Cyndi and Linda, as well as my brother Peter, live in the Denver area so all of us and our kids can spend time together.
