So glad everyone had such a good time at our 50th reunion August 13, 2022. I am now officially RETIRED as the reunion person for our class. I've organized the last three reunions plus the 60th birthday party and it's time for someone else to step up and take on this responsibility if you want to have future reunions. The date above in 2027 is just a placeholder so I could post this message. Pick whatever date you want and I am happy to help the next person get started when the time comes. Today's Featured Biography
Robin Duxbury
I put off college for ten years to earn money for travel. Graduated from Loretto Heights College in 1987 with a BA in English. I became one of those raging animal rights activists while in college, and shortly after graduating from Lo-Hi worked with PéTA for a few months then founded a non-profit animal rights organization called Rocky Mountain Humane Society. I was a frequent guest on various radio talk shows with Ken Hamblin, Peter Boyles and even Mike Rosen! The producers at KYBG (K-BIG) radio apparently liked me and offered me my own radio talk show for an eighteen week stint in 1989.
I left RMHS in 1991 to direct a national organization, Animal Rights Mobilization (ARM!), for several years. My tenure with RMHS and ARM! resulted in a number of high-profile media campaigns which you may recall. I left ARM! in 1996 to work with Project Equus, a unique organization dedicated to investigating abusive horse trainers.
In 2001 I retired from all the animal rights work to – at long last – make use of my English degree. I’ve been writing book reviews, short stories, editing newsletters for several non-profits, and just completed a 100,000 word novel which I hope to have published sometime in 2008.
Oh, yeah … I’ve also been married and divorced twice.
