Diane Todd Pace

After finishing BHS, I entered Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, to fulfill my life dream of being a registered nurse. I graduated in December, 1971, and while caring for a pediatric patient that month prior to graduation, I met his uncle who was to become my husband. I married Jim in 1972. We have 2 daughters/son-in-laws and 5 grandchildren. I absolutely love being Nana! Sara and Nathan are Occupational Therapists in Nashville with twin boys. Cheryl and Tom are attorneys here in Memphis with Kayla, Connor, and Joshua. We attend Highpoint Church in Collierville.

After spending many years in Pocahontas, AR and Dallas TX, we returned to Mphs in 93 after the death of my only sibling. I was employed for 15 years with the Regional Medical Center at their community based primary care clinics as a Nurse Practitioner.

I love school, and when returning to Memphis, I finished my 7th degree, PhD in nursing, in 1998 and have been involved in research, patient care as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and education. My additional passion in healthcare informatics has enabled me to be involved with administration as project manager for the development and implementation of electronic health records.

After 15 years, I left The Med in December '08 to take a position as Assistant Dean for Faculty Practice/Asst. Professor at UT College of Nursing, and in August, 2013, I again changed, accepting a position as Clinical Professor at Loewenburg School of Nursing at University of Memphis. I returned to UTHSC CON 7/2015 to be their Director of the DNP program. My NP practice is at the Methodist Teaching Practice-Primarily to manage women's health in menopause management...and I am accepting new patients if you know of anyone needing a PCP (recruiting-LOL).

Recognized as a top 100 nurse in both Dallas, TX and Memphis, I have been inducted as a Fellow in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and for 6 years served as President of the Memphis APRN Association and Chair of the TNA APN Council. Additionally, I am certified as a menopause practitioner with the North American Menopause Society and was the first Advanced Practice Nurse to serve as President of the Society, 2012-2013. I speak nationally on menopause management and sexual health.

This yearI was promoted to full professor at UTHSC CON. My role is both faculty in the DNP program and Director for Special Academic Programs. I still practice, and now have a dual appointment as Associate Professor with the UTHSC College of Medicine/Department of Ob-Gyn. I helped them to set up a Menopause/Sexual Health Clinic at the Regional One East location off of 385 on Quince.I will be starting a research project in February as a Primary Investigator for a Clinical Trial, and I continue to publish and to travel nationally presenting to professional groups on menopause topics, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, and sexual health.I was honored to be inducted this year as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nurses.

Jim and I will be married 47 years, September, 2019. We traveled to Israel in 2018 and fulfilled a bucket list desire. We will be taking 2 of our grandchildren to Europe in 2019.
