2/7/2013 Marsha White Brown

Since graduation: Went to CBC for electrical engineering degree. While there, joined Harrison Creek rock band (with Nick Wall and a few others from Bartlett, such as Charlie Yarwood ('70) and Joe Crane ('74), and other great musicians). Had a great time playing keyboards, but had to leave them when I moved to Texas for US Army (civilian) graduate school program in '73. Moved to Maryland in '75 to work for Army at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG). Met partner, Sterling, in '82. Moved up the road to Delaware in '99, still working at APG. Worked as team leader for air and missile defense system testing from 1989 until retiring. Watched the Pentagon burn on 9/11 after the plane flew 50 feet over the building I was in for a meeting with the Missile Defense Agency. Travel to Kauai once or twice a year to visit Sterling's family. Got back together with Harrison Creek for a reunion in 2004; played 4-hour gig for Bartlett class of '74's 30th year reunion. Like old times and a great time was had by all. Retired from Army civil service in 2006 and enjoying the good life. Really enjoyed playing for the 40th reunion; we had great fun and enjoyed seeing old classmates. Finally married my partner of 30 years on June 5, 2012 in Washington, DC. Since retiring, we have been traveling the world on land and sea cruises. Do it now while you are still able. Since the death of Nick Wall in January, 2015, Harrison Creek won't be getting back together again, so I sold my keyboards.
