Today's Featured Biography
Robert Whitmore
Hello everyone. I am still alive and kicking and yet to escape from York County. I am currently married to my second wife; and interestingly enough, she has the same name as wife #1! Who'd of thunk it! I have three kids (2 my own and 1 step).
After high school, I did the college thing for a year and then enlisted in the Air Force. After the service, I got married the first time and worked as a salesman. I was almost killed in an auto accident in 1989 and spent the next seven years going through rehab and surgeries. God wanted me bent, not broken! I then attended Penn State and got by BA in Environmental Engineering. I worked for an engineering firm for two years and then ventured into the world of business on my own. I currently own my own business, with the help of my wife, and have been doing so for over 5 years.
I have seen several people over the years and have been in touch with this site's wonderful administrator for over six years! My wife (and wonderful friend and buddy) and I love to occasionally get out to some of the local restaurants/bars, so if you'll be out, drop us a line and we'll share a bite to eat and catch up on the last 20+ years.
I am forty-plus with the heart and energy of a teenager. You have to laugh and love life.
Anyone who ran into me before this last Christmas saw that i was beginning to look "Santa"-like. Well, five months and 31 pounds later, I am lookin' a lot better. Only 20 to 30 more pounds to go! Who thought riding an exercise bike while watching a movie on the DVD player was a good way to diet. That and eating a lot better!
And speaking of food...I am an avid cook. I have even tried out for Hell's Kitchen...and will do so again this year!
I hope to hear from anyone who see this. Oh, and if a reunion is planned, I can help out!
