Today's Featured Biography
Michael Eldridge
After seven years at the University of Iowa (too many of which I spent majoring in "recreational studies"), I took a job in the operations department of the Iowa City MCI center where I could utilize my other major, Computer Science. Since the purchase of MCI by Verizon early in 2006, I now work for Verizon as a CTI Engineer. My primary responsibility is the routing of all customer service email to agents in call centers around the country and in a few international locations.
I met my wife, Lailah, in 1994, married her in 1997, and adopted her daughter Tara shortly thereafter. We moved to Arlington, TX in 2004 where Tara began attending the University of Texas at Arlington.
On November 1, 2006, we had a fire in our home that forced us to move yet again. We relocated to Jackson, MS - Lailah's home town. Tara, who came with us to MS and spent a year at Jackson State, has since returned to Texas and has her own place, a job, and is continuing her college education part time.
