Today's Featured Biography
Doug Hausafus
Doug “Buddah” Hausafus, 47, of Liscomb, Iowa passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center in Marshalltown.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. For condolences or questions please visit: www.mitchellfh.com . Douglas Lee Hausafus was born on February 12, 1966 in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was the son of Ralph Sprague and Rogene Morey, he was later adopted by Bill Hausafus. Doug attended school in the Marshalltown Community School District graduating with the class of 1984; he went on to attend Nashville Auto Diesel College in Nashville, Tennessee. Doug was living in Liscomb, Iowa and was employed at Clemons Automotive in Marshalltown as a mechanic for the past 10 years. He enjoyed league bowling, golfing and was in the golf league at American Legion in Marshalltown, Iowa. Doug loved to golf, music (especially the Blue’s) cars, Poker, cigars, and all of his many, many friends. Doug’s pride and joy were his girls and his granddaughters the “Oey’s”. Doug had a great interest in Spirituality. Doug will be remembered for his constant smile, his enthusiasm for life and his “Happy Day” saying as he would depart.
Left to cherish Doug’s memory are his parents, Bill and Rogene, stepmother, Judy Sprague, Life partner, Catherine Schmidt of Liscomb, daughters: Teandra and Nakita Hausafus of Marshalltown, Keisha Stanley, grandchildren: Natalie Joe and Gloria Lorraine Susie, siblings Joshua Sprague, Michelle Sharp and Tammy Kellogg, several nieces and nephews and many, many friend’s.
In death Doug rejoins his biological father, Ralph Sprague, grandparents, Ralph and Irene Sprague, Robert and Betty Kelly and Margaret and Bill Hausafus.
