Today's Featured Biography
Kerry Pobanz
Briefly, graduated with B.A. in psychology from University of Michigan in 1970. Lived on commune in Nova Scotia for several months, then migrated to San Francisco. Explored many different spiritual groups, and almost became a Buddhist monk under the Tibetan lama then living in the Berkeley hills, but instead moved in with the Unified Family (Unification Church) in Oakland in 1972, and became a missionary, teaching Rev. Sun Myung Moon's theology (Divine Principle) for the next 14 years. I was matched and married by Rev. Moon (2000-couple wedding in Madison Square Garden) in 1982 to Carol DeMicco, an Italian American, and we now have 4 boys, 22, 19, 16, 16 years old. Our oldest son, Sol, was matched and married 2/22/07. In 1986, I went to graduate school and got a Master's degree in Philosophy (1990) at Fordham University (Bronx, NY), and was briefly in the Ph.D. program for Philosophy, but had to leave this and support my family. From 1996-2001, wrote and self-published a book on life after death entitled: "The Spirit-Person and the Spirit-World: An Otherdimensional Primer." It's $15/copy; if anyone is interested, please e-mail me ([email protected]). Presently working 2 jobs in New York City as editor/proofreader (1 full-time, 1 part-time).
