Today's Featured Biography
Peggy King Davis
Born in Prospect Park, PA in 1940, moved four times to Ohio, PA, VA and NC with my parents and brother, Bob King, before moving to Hawaii in 1956. Living in Hawaii was the best time of my life, making lifelong friends with people of all nationalities. Attended U. of Kansas 1958-59 after a very tearful goodbye to the Aloha State, then transfered to Florida State Un. where I graduated in Art Education in 1962. Moved to Lompoc, CA to teach art at Lompoc Jr. High where I met my husband, Terry, who taught science and math at the same school. We married in 1963, continued to live in Lompoc where we both taught and where our two sons were born. In 1968 we moved to Thousand Oaks, CA where we now reside. Terry finished his Phd at Un. of CA at Santa Barbara in 1969 and was accepted to teach Geology at CAL State, LA. During the 38 years that we have lived in Thousand Oaks, I taught Art to adults, taught Physical Education at a private and public school, was on staff at our church as the children's director, worked as an instructional aide in PE, and worked as a program coordinator with EF Homestay Programs and EF Foundation, foreign exchange programs. I enjoyed teaching Sunday School at my church during most of this time period. We both enjoyed traveling all over the world visiting many of the foreign students who lived in our home. Since retirement in 2003, we enjoy babysitting our two granddaughters, Courtney, age 3 and Sydney, 9 weeks. Being grandparents is GREAT!I also enjoy painting pastel portraits, growing orchids, pilates, yoga, aerobics, walking in our beautiful area of CA., and attending Bible studies. God has been the most important part of my life since 1963 when I invited His Son, Jesus Christ, into my heart and life. I am thankful for a full life with a loving husband, children and grandchildren and look forward to all that God has for us to enjoy.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
