Today's Featured Biography
Ricky Provence
Hello NC class of 83! Here is a liitle background on me since the good ole high school days: After the summer of 83, I went into the U.S. Army and bounced from Fort Sill OK for Basic and Advanced Training to Fort Benning GA for Airborne School to Fort Bragg NC where I was in the 82nd Airborne Division. I also assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division Band for part of my tour there for those of you that remimber that i did a fair share of my time in all the NC music classes like band, stage band and orchestra. It was then on to a navy base in Norfolk VA for a year. After that I headed to Nuernberg Germany with a short stint to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq in 1990. My Army career lasted almost 10 years. I got out of the Army in 1992 and stayed in Germany to work for the American Red Cross in support of the U.S. Army. After 9 years with them, I went into Federal Service and continued to work for the Department of Defense on an Army Base in Grafenwoehr Germany. total time in germany, 22 years (WOW). Just recently (April 2009) I transferred to the Department of Interior (Bureau of Raclamation) at the Denver Federal Center in Denver, Colorado. My job is a Personnel Security Officer which means I coordinate and conduct investigations on people for security clearances and the such. My wife is German and I have two daughters on which my oldest, Natascha, is currently working on the military base in Germany and attending college. The other, Jessica, is here with me and working on her singing career at the age of 13. Check her out on Youtube by searching for "Jessica Provence".
I have ran into a couple of classmates over the years and it was nice to see you, even when it was brief: Greg Hoce, (My High School Buddy), stay in contact and give your family my best. Hope to see you whenever I can make it to Florida. Jim Richards, it was nice to see you in Casper a few years back. Suzanne Springer, it was nice to run into you those couple of times in the Wyoming Medical Center when I was there to visit my father. Scott Johnson (My Troopers Buddy), It was great staying in contact by email over the years so stay in touch. For everyone else that I have missed over the years, feel free to kick out an email to me and lets get caught up on old times and whats been happening since then. My best goes out to everyone!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
