Avoid becoming history!
I've been truly blessed these many years...
Graduated from CC, then UW in 72, continuing with my involvement from H.S. thru Collegiate Rodeo. Owned four businesses for 15 years (workaholic years). Raised, trained and showed quarter horses for over 25 years. Kids came late, and each stage they went through was better than the last! Lots of fun years..& add in lots of critters: horses, dogs, cats, calves, rabbits, sheep, etc.. Must say it's been a hoot!!
Divorced after 26 years, I left Wyoming to Florida and married Bill Newbern-the love of my life and soul partner I was engaged to some 56 or so years ago (but who's counting right?). Bill owned a sport & commercial fishing operation, but also still shared the passion of the equine world and was involved with the cutting horse industry. After a short time, Bill wanted to leave Florida and come back to the west and the mountains. So to WY we returned. We were so very blessed to find a beautiful ranch with a magical valley between Cheyenne and Laramie (at about 8,000', with a great spring fed creek (w/superb breakfast brookies), and beautiful high country meadows that we shared with our horses, cows, dogs, cat, deer, antelope, elk, etc...
Very sadly, Bill unexpectedly passed away Dec of 2019.
Oh, we had such fun ...I am so thankful for our incredible 19 year journey.
After 4 years, I must admit I am still heart broken over my loss of Bill. Last year, I finally decided to sell our magical ranch and valley and retire from my job with the Wyoming State Archives. I've since moved to the North Platte River valley between Bridgeport and Broadwater, NE. And I'm very much enjoying retired life in this quiet rural area.
Son, Ben lives in Maine where he's a program manager for consumer protection with the State of Maine Dept. of Agriculture. Ben & wife Nicole have 2 wonderful grand kids, Beckett (6), and Cadence (4). Our daughter Johanna is married to Patrick Duzik and lives in Cheyenne, Wy, where she is a medical coder for the VA. Hanna & Patrick have 2 wonderful grand kids, Blake (10), and Alice (8). My Children and grandchildren truly light up my life-I cannot imagine my life without them.
The last time I updated my profile was for a 40th year "plus" High School reunion and now it's for a 55 year reunion that I won't be able to attend. WOW-It is baffling how the years have literally flown by. I don't remember getting any older... but replaced hips, knees and cataract surgery have certainly made a huge difference to make life way more enjoyable! ... I think I'd like to come back in my next life with a bionic body!!
It's been fun catching up with so many from so long ago..... Sad to see many that have left our world, but it's so amazing how so many have traveled so far and wide and done so much! Our class of '68 was indeed, pretty dynamic!
I will not be able to attend this 55 year reunion, but God grant I'm still around & kicking for the next one, I'll plan to attend.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
