Vernon Childers
Military retired
Duty Stations:
Arizona., Alabama, Colorado, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Texas, Washington State, Austria, Germany, Vietnam, Korea, Tripoli Libya, and the Sinai North Africa.
Military flight instructor with the following duties:
1.Instrument Flight Examiner, Standardization Instructor Pilot (Examiner) in both rotary wing and fixed wing
2.Aviation advisor to the Army National Guard and Reserve Units – Western Region of the US
3.Taught mountain flying to the US Army in Europe.
4.Exchange officer with the Austrian Air Force.
5.Served on the European Army Safety and Standardization Board
6.Unit Safety and Standardization Officer
Married my best friend Darlene Rose, from Winslow AZ and toured the world with her.
Other interest:
Architectural and Office design. Design, build, and finish furniture, down hill and cross-country skiing, backpacking, theater, art museums, cooking, sewing, take out the garbage and do windows, build experimental airplanes, bake a cake and overhaul an engine.
Favorite city – Paris France

Favorite food – Mediterranean
Favorite musical composer - Antonio Lucio Vivaldi
Favorite musical selection - The Four Seasons
At the present time I own my own aircraft and provide flight instruction.
