Today's Featured Biography
Doug LeClair
Left wing, political dissident. Campaigning to oust the current cast of nut jobs from the White House. That aside, I ply my trade (Teaching: yup, payback for previous scholastic sins, no doubt.)at Dimmitt Middle School in the Renton School District. Helluva job. Wouldn't miss it for the world! Never a dull day, and a fair number of my charming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students actually become better readers! Summers off are a bonus so you can paint the house.
Can't remember which reunion I last attended, but it was at least one lifetime ago. The kids are nearly grown now, which means the empty nest can't be far behind. Good God, then what?!? That excludes the 4 cats and dog, however, so perhaps empty nest is a bit of a misnomer. Plus, the home renovations will never end. That I'm VERY sure about.
Not sure how much of a "personal bio" this has become, but it's fun none-the-less! It is an insight into my general mental framework, however, so perhaps it is very much a personal bio!
It certainly was a sobering experience to read the list of deceased classmates from our class of '72. What a tragedy as well as powerful reminder of how fleeting and unpredictable life can be. Hopefully the list of deceased classmembers will not increase for a good number of years.
Perhaps more later as the chores are calling.
