Stephen Monaco
Stephen Monaco has 25+ years of executive-level strategic business and marketing experience, is a creative thinker and visionary with a remarkable track record of success. He has the passion and drive that evokes confidence and creates clarity amongst management teams. Monaco negotiated the acquisition of a large, multi-national corporation to a publicly-traded company, has negotiated numerous strategic alliances, partnerships, international joint ventures and technology transfers.
Monaco has provided high-level strategic business and marketing advisory services to companies across North America and in Europe, from start-ups to the Fortune 500. He has worked with companies including: Microsoft, Element 5 / Digital River, Edelman Public Relations Worldwide, Symantec, Quarterdeck, No Fear, Business Transition Specialists, etc. Monaco has been a co-founder or senior executive and mentor in several early stage companies.
Monaco co-founded and held the positions of VP of Sales & Marketing and co-CEO for Datastorm Technologies – a leading developer in the highly competitive global software industry. Monaco's marketing prowess is the driving force behind the world's best-selling PC data communications software of all time, ProComm Plus. Monaco successfully built Datastorm from raw start-up on to Inc. Magazine's Top 500 List; led the company through 40 profitable quarters to $50 million in annual revenue, and its successful acquisition to a publicly-traded company in Los Angeles, California. Monaco simultaneously managed the Datastorm's international affiliate in Cambridge, United Kingdom.
In his early career, Monaco held marketing positions at Warner Bros. Television - International TV Distribution in Burbank, California and Creative Communications Group in Dallas, Texas.
He earned his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in Marketing and e-Business from the University of Wales - Cardiff, United Kingdom. Honors: Dean's List
Monaco has guest lectured to MBA marketing and entrepreneurship classes at the University of Missouri and at the Keller Graduate School of Management in Los Angeles. His successful pricing strategies from Datastorm are utilized as examples in the Instructor's Resource Manual for Kotler's graduate-level college textbook, "Marketing Management"
