7/2003: The kids are grown and headed in their own directions. After 16 years of living at Lake Winnebago in Northern Cass County, Missouri, Alan and I just moved to a farm at Longview Lake.
With the BIG FIVE-OH looming for me (Alan's already been there...class of '68, he's way ahead of me...), we decided to have some fun. He's into horsePOWER, I'm into horseFLESH! Alan's into classic Europeon and American Muscle Cars (thank goodness the Harley's gone!), and I'm enjoying my 3 Tennessee Walking Horse, Missouri Foxtrotter horses. Additionally, we still play in an 18 and older power volleyball league in Lee's Summit.
Initially, I went to college for an art degree. After working as staff-support for an advertising agency, I decided that I DIDN'T want to become a commercial artist. Changed my major to Poli-Sci to better position myself for Law School. Somewhere in there, I got engaged into a family that owned a car dealership, so I quit college to learn how to run a car dealership. My fiance' also had race cars...so I bought a car that we rebuildt to race. Then we traveled the country racing...we almost always took our bicycles so that if/when we didn't win, we'd just take off on bicycling trips! Did not marry this fellow, met a friend of a friend of his in Tulsa, at a race. That would be my husband, Alan. I did learn a lot about the car business, and even though I didn't marry into it, I stayed in the business, and at the time (early '80's) was one of only a very few lady service writer's. The car business was very good to me until we started having children. The long hours were not conducive to raising a family, so I didn't return to the business after Jill was born in 1983. By then, Alan was in the insurance business. Liked what I saw, and took advantage of the opportunity to start my own insurance agency in 1988, exlaining health/disability/dental and other benefits offered by a handful of employers to their employees. As "outsourcing" services has become more common in the last few years, we seemed to have found our niche!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
