Ironically as I am writing this, the movie The Big Chill is on in the background bringing back great music memories. The Class of 1970 has a dab of money left over since the 40th reunion.

When I was a young teenager, time passed by too slowly. Now that I am winding down and approaching retirement, time flies by way too fast. I've been an adventurer and can say that I've hiked the rim of the Grand Canyon, had coffee with the President of the United States, trapsed through the jungles of Guatemala, participated in an archaelogical dig in Greece, escaped the pursuit of enemy aircraft, and survived a hurricane in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean. There is a story for each event. In my mind, I always say to myself that there is nothing I can't do and, if I set my mind to it, nothing that I refuse to learn. I've been a carpenter, a home builder, an aerospace, mechanical, and civil engineer, a minister, a teacher and a linguist. I speak four languages and have lived in a foreign country and have traveled extensively to many others. I am broad-minded and seek truth as it is revealed to me and am willing to forge a new trail if that's where my search takes me. I have a loving wife and family that accepts me for all that I am. I believe in God and bask in the beauty of his creation. I believe that within every person there exists God-like potential that, when tapped, will unleash the great light within. Yes, I have been truly blessed and thank God everyday for all the lessons that I have learned, all the experiences that I have persevered, and all the love that surrounds me. That's my story . . . and I'm sticking to it.
