Today's Featured Biography
Paul Garneau
After graduation, I worked at the store in Stark until fall and then went to American International College in CA and graduated with a B.A. in 1965. Actually, I was a certified secondary school teacher.
In 1964 I married the girl that Evelyn introduced me to while visiting Stark in the summer following graduation. That's how I found my way to southern NE.
After graduating from college, we moved to CT where I worked part-time at a small manufacturing firm in Glastonbury, CT (just out side of Hartford).
I had planned on going to graduate school, but the owner of the firm made me an offer of emplyment that I accepted. As it turned out, I spent my entire working career there and was President and CEO for 26 years.
My son now holds those positions with the same company, that has remained independent and now empoys 60 people.
The firm manufactures identification systems that we supply for The Heismen Trophy, ESPN micflags, Home Depot, and numerous other companies and organizations.
The passion and motivation of my life have been my two children - Dawn and Craig.
Dawn earned a B.S. in mathematics at Wellesley College and went on to Brown University to obtain a degree in computer engineering Regretfully, I lost Dawn in 1995 as a result of a car accident.
Craig earned a degree in Asian Studies at Washington and Lee University and went on to Harvard to earn his Master's degree.
I have four wonderful grandsons (ages 9, 13, 15, and 18). The three oldest are USA swimmers and among the best in CT. The oldest starts college this fall.
My passion these days are family and my health. Current therapy for chronic back pain (which is improving) six days a week prevents me from joining you for our 50th reunion. I will certainly be there with you in thought and spirit! ENJOY!
My wife is a wonderful lady and we are very happy!
