Our Class Message Board
Your participation is requested!
We would like to hear from you. Post your messages here.
I finished my degree from Anderson College in 1976, taught 4th grade at Pioneer for 8 years, & completed a master's degree from Ball State during summer breaks.
[Here's a fun fact: Before I started teaching, Mr. Huffman's church (Faith UMC) hired me as a church organist for a few years (great experience!). I've played organ at my church ever since.]
Marrying best friend Daryl 35 yrs. ago was one of the wisest decisions of my life. With that came resignation of my teaching position and a move to Greenfield, IN, where we've lived since. I did not resume teaching; instead, became a "professional volunteer" with Stonecroft Ministries, which has been a good use of my teaching and leadership skills and very fulfilling. Accompanying band students on piano at contests in Jan./Feb. is a great joy. I also enjoy cooking, letter-writing, & & playing clarinet in our community band.
I've gained an appreciation for antique tractors from Daryl, who did not grow up on a farm, but would have liked to. He restored one tractor, and more restoration "projects" (& more golf) await his retirement, which he anticipates happening soon. For 40 years he was a Sears service tech.
We have no children, & are both okay with that. We are both active in our church (he's musical, too). Also, we enjoy traveling, & after his retirement, hope to cruise Alaska, and maybe get to Norway (he's half Norwegian).
My brother, John, and Missy Hatten got together several years ago, and our family loves having her with us. What a blessing she is! You can understand why.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
