Today's Featured Biography
Jay Burrows
Well it's been kind of a fog trying to remember the last 40 years but what the hey i'll give it a try,
Went into the Air Force after High School, got to play with B-52's for 4 years. Got out then drove truck for my last company for 35 years and then they kicked me to the curb a few years ago, but was so burned out working 60 to 70 hours a week so no loss there.
Worked for about 5 years in Silverdale/Bremerton delivering freight locally then the first depression hit (Reagonnomics?) and made a move to Aberdeen to keep my job. Stayed there around 8 years driving line at night to our different terminals around the state. The second depression hit and moved to the Longview area.
Married an underclasswoman, ('76 CK grad Linda Campbell, been bugging me for 35 years now). Had three boys, older, not as old and just a pup, (the last one graduating spring of 2014). Five grand kids.
Made a lot of friends that made it not so bad to stay around for another 50 some years..
Been looking for a job that does NOT include driving a semi that pays more then McDonalds. Good luck with that at my age! I don't mind starting at the bottom again but I'll be jiggered if I'm going to stay there!
So off to the North Dakota oil fields in late March or early April (2014) depending on the Spring Thaw. If I have to get back into a semi I might as well make 6 figures, eh? Found a couple of "Man Camp" or a low/free rent type companies. Work 4 or 5 weeks straight then have 1 week off. I figure a week is all the wife can stand of me anyway. Hell, I was basically a Zombie for 30 years so I should be used to it. Sigh. The plan is at least 1 year to pay the house off and put new siding, roof and carpets in and if I like what I'm doing then I may stay for another year to put the money into the well shrunk nest egg.
Then Linda can finally drag me to Hawaii for a few weeks, not necessarily kicking and screaming.
If your bored and around the Longview area, we're in the book, hint hint, or toss us an e-mail, the wife has the official Facebook duties so you can bug us there just as well,
be safe, Jay
(WOW, only 12 classmates found, I guess we know who's been holding this county together, us workaholics!)

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
