Today's Featured Biography
Ricky Juarez
What can I say, life has treated me OK. Hit a few bumps in the road but always managed to steer it back between the lines. I left home exactly 2 weeks after graduation and except for a few exceptions just never really made it back home. I spent 24 years in the Air Force, most of that as a "Spy for America". I've traveled literally around the world and stayed in places both great and those not on any tourist map. Some times I was welcomed, but most time I wasn't. Did some things not always proud of but it was my job and I did it right.
I do work that I enjoy and get WELL paid for. I had a thriving NFL career "per-say", 3 years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and 5 years with the Washington Redskins, "Spying for America's Team" while watching the Skins lose in person. What else can a homesick Texan ask for?
I have a great son who is married now. He completed tours in Afghanistan and Iraq following in his old man's footsteps. Maybe not always to my liking, but certainly with my pride. He has brought another Juarez into the world, so the legend will live on. Two fantastic older stepsons, one who has made me a double grandpa.
I miss home and Amarillo will always be my home. If it weren't for my girlfriend, my cats and my Harley (not necessarily in that order on any given day) life would not be as much fun.

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
