Jack Carlin
Here goes: ..fall '55 to UNL, graduated '60..then to US Army QM School, Ft. Lee, VA, '60 & '61..returned to Lincoln..married Kathleen Roach 6/17/61 in Maywood, NE..began grad school at UNL fall '61..received MEd., Ed Psych & Measurements '63..fall '63 began two year stint as guidance teacher at Millard Lefler Jr. High..November '65 joined the business office of the Atlanta Braves as director of stadium operations..then business manager..then director of broadcasting..daughters Suzanne ('67) & Elizabeth ('70) born in Atlanta..after sale of Braves' TV rights to Ted Turner's Atlanta station, I joined the business office of the Houston Astros in '73 as director of broadcasting..in '75 joined Hurricane Steel Company, Houston, as branch operations manager..in '76 returned to Atlanta to join Cecil & Associates where I developed and managed sports programs..in '82 I joined The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta and experienced a magnificent variety of projects succinctly defined within sport and entertainment marketing..retired from The Coca-Cola Company, April, 2000..I have two granddaughters, Blair (7) & Brinley (4), in Washington, DC and a grandson, Henry (1), in Los Angeles.
added: 9/29/2010...April 11, 2007, Catherine Carlin Everett was born in Durham, NC. Proud parents - daughter Elizabeth and her husband, Rob...my third granddaughter. Take timely trips to visit my daughters' families in Washington, DC & Durham, NC. Enjoy witnessing the growth and maturity of my grandchildren and, in fact, the growth and maturity of the families, too. I'm extremely proud of all/each of them.
I've enjoyed travel to and exploring in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, France and Mexico...scattered among a plethora of Braves games over five seasons and one to four visits, annually, to see the Cornhuskers, live.
