Ann Douglass Kelley
Graduated UNL, BFA, 1957: Chi Omega, Delta Phi Delta. Married, September, 1958, to Robert Read Kelley, Grand Island, NE, UNL class of 1956, Theta Xi. Children: Douglas John (1960), Carey Lynn (1963) One grandchild, Zeke Cohen-Kelley. Jobs: Draftsman (should that be person?), State Department of Roads; Secretary, Hardy Furniture Company Interior Decoration Department; Substitute teacher, grades K-6, Lincon Public Schools; Teacher/naturalist, Chet Ager Nature Center; Zoo Crew Coordinator, Lincoln Children's Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Intrests: reading, astronomy, folk music, instant messaging, National Wildlife Federation Backyard Wildlife Habitat yard #952.
March 29: One of 'our' pair of Carolina wrens, decided to check out the inside of our house, today! Entered through the propped-open storm window, and was SO laid back, I couldn't believe it! Bob spotted him leaving the room where we were working, and I then found him perched on a dining room window sash. He was Mr. Cool! Not in the least afraid, as we shooed him out the propped-opened front door. I just hope he was inside long enough to fill up on our resident spiders! PS. I ALREADY have migrating warblers. WAY early this year!
April 28: Found a Monarch butterfly laying eggs on the one-inch high butterfly milkweed today! Spring is truly here...........finally!
December 9: Burr! Cold@ Snow! Dozens of birds at my feeders....maybe they are trying to tell me something? Hope you all have a very happy holiday season this year, and hope a LOT of you are planning on coming to our 55th reunion next summer!
