Today's Featured Biography
Karen Jolin Howk
Well, since I missed the reunion, I thought I would write about what I have been up to since graduation. One month after graduation I started working at an insurance company in KC and I'm still there! I have held many positions, but currently, I am an underwriter for life, long term disability and dental insurance. Not too exciting, but it pays the bills. Felix and I got married in 1988 and have two boys; Jonathan (Jon to all his friends); he is 15 1/2 and a handful! Now that I have a teenager, I apologize to my parents in my head almost everyday for what I put them through growing up. Our other son is Ryan and he is almost 10. It is strange to think that Felix and I have known each other since 7th grade, never hung around the same crowd and ended up getting married. We will be married 18 years on 7-23-06! In December 1987 we moved in to the same apartment building, started dating, and the rest is history. We currently live in Blue Mills and our kids go to Fort Osage schools. We have a boat and spend most of our spare time in the summer at Blue Springs Lake. That is my life in a nutshell. Hopefully I'll see everyone at the NEXT reunion!
