Today's Featured Biography
Max Rangel
Howdy, ya'll! Life is good in the great state of Texas! I moved here in 1988, and got married in 1991. I work in the IT department of an Energy Company, as an Application Senior Specialist. For fun, I play bass guitar in a Classic Rock cover band called The Fossils.
I make it back "home" to the Independence area about twice per year (once in the summer and once around the holidays) to visit family and friends. The last time I was in town was this year (2008) over Labor Day weekend. Independence has changed quite dramatically over the years. Noland Road is practically a ghost town, while the area over by the Independence Center seems to be prospering. The old Independence Square, on the other hand, looks pretty much the same. Some businesses have moved out, while a few have moved in. But, it’s virtually the same as it’s always been.
Sorry I missed the 30-year reunion. I’ve seen a couple of pictures from the event, and most of you look like you’re doing very well.
