Death: Dec. 2, 1991
Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA
Ralph (my Dad) married Rosemary (Rose Marie) Adamski (my Mom) on Feb. 7, 1942. They had six children: Kathy, Ron, Bill, Vicky, Teri, and Mary. He served in the US Army Air Corp and then the US Air Force for a total of 26 years.
Ralph escaped death on two occasions. One, when he was 7 he had an illness that put him into a coma. His mother prayed him through that and he recovered. The other occasion was during WWII. He was in Europe and was on board a plane about to go on a mission. Before the plane took off, however, he was called off the plane. Sadly, the plane crashed and all souls on board were killed.
Ralph taught himself how to play the tenor guitar - a four-stringed guitar. Eventually, he played the six-stringed guitar. At one time he had 6 guitars and a steel guitar. He taught all of us kids how to play to some degree. Ralph had an ear for music. He could play a pipe organ by ear. God blessed him with so much musical talent. Almost everywhere he went, he started a band. He mostly played/sang country music.
Ralph retired from the Air Force and then the family settled in Richfield, Hennepin County, Minnesota near Rosemary's family.
He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is greatly missed, but we will see him again someday!
