I have been living in New Orleans, Louisiana since the early 60's when I hitchhiked to NOLA while in college. After the second week, I stumbled into my first parade and met my wife at church. Well, she wasn't my wife then. I decided to stay.
I graduated from the University of Houston in 1968, had my first son, received a BA in Broadcast Communication, and returned to New Orleans. I have had varied careers with a variety of successes, including working as a copy writer, camerman, and GM of an independent TV station. After a career in broadcasting, I owned a small publication, worked in sales, coordinated Southern Merchandising on special events including closed circuit boxing, tractor pulls, and merchandising for several bowl games and Tulane University basketball. I owned a casket company that failed, and bought properties for renovation. I went bankrupt in the 1980's.
Finally, at age 49, I returned to school, worked as a respiratory therapist until I gradated from LSU in nursing. I have been an ICU RN since then. I retired at the begining of 2010. I survived 7 days on the unit during Hurrican Katrina. Luckily, I loss my sense of smell after the first day.
I am still married to the girl I met in l962, have 3 grown sons and 4 grandchildren.
I enjoy going to the movies, working in the yard, painting (handle publicity & photos for the Metairie Art Guild), listening to classical music and jazz, exercising, reading, working the stock market, visiting friends and chasing grandchildren.
My favortie movie is "On The Waterfront."
My favorite book is "The Sun Also Rises."
I am a die-hard Saints fan---Geaux Superbowl Champs 2010.
I love anything by Mozart, the paintings of Edward Hopper, and shrimp gumbo.
Things I learned at PHS: Get up after you fall down and keep going. It's never as bad as you think.
Things I have learned since high school: Cherish your family.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
