Priscilla Jane Puffer Ogg
My husband retired from a successful 46 year banking career in Houston in June '06. I retired from my job as office manager/church secretary for a Lutheran church in Sugar Land in May '06. Immediately following our retirements, we acceptd positions with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod World Mission organization as missionaries. Larry served as the Regional Business Manager for LCMS World Mission in Eurasia from 2006 to 2008.
We lived about 10 kilometers from Frankfurt in a town called Oberursel. It had a population of 42,000+ and covered an area about 2 miles long and 1 mile wide. Germany is about the size of Montana but with a population of over 87 million people. With Frankfurt being centrally located in Germany, we had great opportunities to travel to the many countries that bordered it.
During our married life, we have traveled extensively throughout Europe on vacations and Central Asia, the past two years, on mission business. Our vacation travels have taken us to Great Britain, Scotland, France, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Russia, Spain, Turkey, Canada, Mexico, Bahamas and Morocco. Missionary business took Larry to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Latvia, and Russia. We have traveled to every state in America except Alaska and Hawaii. As a teenager in high school, I never dreamed I would see all of those wonderful places. Living in Germany was a wonderful experience, but moving back to Texas, family and friends was the best of all!
We have been married 49 years on June 18, 2009. We have two daughters, Priscilla and Andrea, both married, and one grandson, Nicholas. He is Priscilla's son and he is now 22. Priscilla lives in Katy TX and Andrea lives in Lakewood CO.
We are making plans to cruise Alaska this summer.
I have enjoyed reconnecting with my high school friends. I value the experience of knowing them again.
