Elizabeth Jacks Gohn
Hello Everyone!
I am looking forward to our 20th Reunion!
It is amazing how much our lives can change from year to year. And then after ten years (since our last reunion) one can look back and hardly recognize what was left behind.
After graduating high school I went to Millersville University and received a BA in Art in 1991. In 1992, I married Tim Gohn and we lived in York, PA for a couple of years. Tim's job relocated us to Quakertown, PA and we eventually bought a house in Allentown. In 1995 our son Austin was born. Carly followed in 1998 and then Lindsay surprised us in 2001! So the kids are now 12, 9, and 6 respectively.
After twelve years of marriage, Tim and I decided to get a divorce. There's really nothing to add to that except that divorce is a sad thing...
I enjoyed working as a custom framer for many years and the experience has proven to be invaluable. I have my own small side business called Pencil Portraits by Elizabeth Gohn. I finish my pieces with custom matting and framing. I participate in about a dozen art shows a year. My art business is so small that I am still considered a "starving artist" therefore I must have a "real job." My real job is an the office manager for Pn'J Industries and ESCA Industries. We distribute bulk cleaning chemicals to companies like Tasty Kake and J&J Snack Foods. We also distribute baking soda as a blasting media. I know it sounds boring...but I absolutely LOVE my job and the people I work with.
Something else I do for fun, on occasion I co-host a cable TV show (based out of New Jersey) called Sudzin Country. Sudzin Country is a fun, educational show shot on-site at different venues. These clips are the background to country music videos. We have a lot of fun and get to see behind the scene things that do not get on camera. Perfect example: the Just Born factory. You know them...they make the marshmellow Peeps. I also had a part on TLC's Forensic Files. I portrayed a murder victim. That was quite an experience!
Eric, who you will meet at the reunion, and I are getting married. The weekend after our reunion as a matter of fact. Eric is also an artist. He is a full time ceramist at the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works in Doylestown, PA. He also is a potter and has the same art show schedule as I.
That pretty much sums it up. If I think of anything else spectatular, I will update my profile. See you soon!
