David Cooper
All,
Well I grew up in Athens NY, borne in Catskill NY. I moved to Ark City when I was 12 for eighth grade. I graduated ACHS and CCCC, completing two Associates Machine Tool Tech and Drafting. I left Ark City for OSU at 24 attending college and working as a manager for Mechanical Engineering. I finished all of by basics and moved on due to finances. Moved to Ok City when I was 28 and then to AR when I was 29. I worked in AR for United Technologies Carrier (UTC) for nine years starting out as a technician and promoted to Manufacturing Engineering for 7 for the nine years. I moved on to SC when I was 38 sampling three different companies ranging from your craftsman riding lawnmower, Cummins Turbo Charges, and Mercedes Benz. In 2008 I was offered a position as an Engineering Manager which moved me back to OK city.
Two things that I have learned from my travels is One; I am real tired of moving!!! & Two; by moving and experiencing the various types of companies along with the global connections I have made, has been an awesome road in deed. I feel that I am very lucky to have met Charlie White from CCCC who challenged me to achieve higher goals and gave me the building blocks for a solid and unique career. Looking back, I could have been a better student in High School if I was challenge and counseled correctly. I found out that I am really not dumb ass and when I applied myself I have achieved some pretty remarkable tasks.
In closing I am still the pain in the butt Dave you might have gotten to know over the years. I have not changed much. I can still drink a beer or two, tell a wide range of joke, and I still drive the fastest cars I can afford too. I have great friends from all of my travels, and have nick names from all. Names ranging from Dumb Ass Dave, to Super Coop. To this day I have no Idea why everyone has to have their own nick name for me? I guess I bring out the fun idiot in all?
