Cindy Sower Johnson
Not much to report from here. I am still devoted to music, theater, piano, and use these in my everyday life. My kids are all employed and involved in useful and positive things. My oldest son is a gifted musician, fluent in French and Italian, and works as an Editor for an international company based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He cares for his wife, who is disabled, and they are definitely the favourite aunt and uncle for all their nieces and nephews. Oldest daughter lives in Boise, well, actually Meridian, with her family, and teaches Math at a Junior High there. She loves her job, and keeps her 4 kids busy, as well as her devoted husband. Next daughter lives in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada with her 5 kids and farmer husband, on 300 acres of land. They raise cattle, pigs, I could go on and on, but won't. They love it up there, and I doubt they'll ever move to the States. She is fluent in Sign Language, and specializes in teaching autistic and special-needs kids. Next daughter lives in Syracuse, Utah, just outside of Layton, which is just north of Salt Lake City. She manages a Bridal Shop full-time, has her hands very full with her 4 kids, and also cares for her husband, who is terminally ill. Next son lives in Quantico, Virginia, is a Captain in the Marine Corps, just coming up on 20 years. His specialty is rifle range, pistol target, and specialty shooting. He loves his job, but is sure tired after so many busy years in the Corps. He just completed his Master's Degree in Ancient History, and plans to work in museum work after he finally retires; probably another 3-4 years away. His wife is Marine, active duty when they first met, then went inactive and had a couple kids, and spends her time training others in fitness and bartending. Last daughter lives in Tooele, Utah, just west of Salt Lake City, with her 5 kids, and works as an infotech for Western Governor's University. She is just finishing up her Master's Degree, as well, in Social Work. They all keep busy, and are probably the biggest positive part of my life. My husband is a Mechanical Engineer, worked for the same company for the past 35 years, and retires in 2-1/2 years. We have a beautiful home in South Jordan, Utah, and a huge garden and fruit trees every year. My best friend is a Blue Point Siamese gentleman, named Xander, coming up on 10 years old, and spoiled rotten. He makes my heart smile! I still talk to Debby Haskin regularly, and try to keep in touch with Donna Callister, as well. Good to say hi to anyone who cares! God Bless, and stay well!
