Jennie Wiederspan Martin

Hello all!

It's been a busy 20+ years. After 350 credit hours and 9 majors (none of which I remember) I finally graduated with an Accounting degree. (Who would've thunk...I would've thought Mr. Reddick and Mr. Seaman ruined my math skills forever...especially after that one incident of totaling Mr. Reddick's car that one snowy morning!)

We've lived in 10+ houses from Davis, CA to Portland, OR and finally to a 6 acre farm in La Center, WA, where I raised four teenagers at once. We all made it through...somehow!

Erin (22) married last October to a wonderful man (J.P.) and living in Portland with her new 5 year old step daughter. She is a legal secretary for a firm in Portland.

Karl joined the Marines 2 years ago and was married 1 1/2 years ago to a jewel of a woman. He was just sent two weeks ago to the the "big sandbox". We pray for him daily and await his safe return.

Lara is going to school in Bellingham as a theater major. She wishes to teach...she'll be great at it. (There was always alot of drama in the house in the early years.)

Kyle will be joining the Air Force Reserves in April. In the meantime, he is making more money for Phil Knight at one of the Portland Nike stores.

Carl was transferred to the Long Beach Harbor (he is a Tugboat Captain) 2 years ago. We sadly sold the farm and all the animals that went with it, and bought a 46' Motor Yacht, which we live on in Marina del Rey. It has been a hard transition from all the dirt (mostly mud) to the fish bowl I live in now. Infact, I missed the dirt so much, we just bought a little 800sq ft cabin in Big Bear City located in the San Bernardino Mts (Nothing like the Rocky's however!)

I contract my accounting services and count money for these Southern Californians with way too much of it. I think I am ready to become a Wall Mart Greeter and have been practicing. I think I have a pretty good shot at it. Wish me luck!

We still have our Search and Rescue Dog, "Billie" who is eight years old. We retired her because it was getting too hard on all of us. (She was a cadaver dog) She is now using her skills as a therapy dog in hospitals and nursing homes in the area. We are both enjoying it alot more.

I don't know about you guys, but I think getting old sucks! And for all you female classmates going through menapause along with myself, let's hope we don't kill anyone before we are through!
