Today's Featured Biography
Aaron Austin
Some people may remember Michelle and I dating in high school. After graduation we traveled to Germany to live with Ulf's family. He was the big tall blond exchange student at Lathrop our senior year. We were in Germany for 3 wonderful months, living together. When we came back, we got married and moved to Ohio.
Living in Ohio sucked, and after 18 months we left, driving up the highway to come home. Our daughter Sam was born in December of 1990, the day after Christmas. We were very happy. I was working at Pay-N-Pak until it closed and we went to Anchorage so I could work at Eagle Hardware & Garden. We lived in Anchorage for about 4 years. I had left Eagle and went to work for Brown's Electric as a store manager in Anchorage.
In 1993 our son Nick was born.
In 1996 due to family circumstances we moved back to Fairbanks, where I continued to work for Brown's. In 2001 I took a job as a purchasing agent with Frontier Plumbing, where I am still employed.
We have taken the kids many places, including Texas to see my Grandfather, Ohio, Washington D.C., North Carolina, England, Scotland, Wales, France, Mexico, and Canada. We love to travel, and have been married for a very long time.
Recently we adopted a little girl, and named her Mia Irene Austin, she was born in Jan. of 2007 and we brought her home from the hospital. It was a big shock to be offered the gift of taking care of a new person who needed help, but we are glad to have her in our lives. The adoption was final in mid Nov, 2007 and we couldn't be happier.
