Today's Featured Biography
Jillene Lietzau Göck
I left Alaska after the end of my 10th grade year along with another one of our classmates, Shawn Gour. We both headed to Clarksville, TN (Ft. Cambell, KY) where we both graduated from Northeast High School.
In October of 1986 I got married to man in the military and subsequently divorced in 1987. I moved to Colorado (Denver/Boulder/Broomfield/Wheatridge) for a while but moved back to Alaska (Cordova) in 1989 shortly before the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill. While working in Valdez on the oil spill I re-connected with many of our classmates from Lathrop. Scott Paden (Class of 1985) drove me up to Fairbanks that summer of 1989 in his hot yellow restored Mustang (1965?) and took me to see Heidi Paden, Jeannette Davis and Cammi Vogt.
In 1990 I moved to Jacksonville, FL to enter college. My college career took 10 years to complete as I worked full time to pay my way through. I left FL in 1993 and returned to Alaska. I graduated with an AAS degree from the University of Alaska, Anchorage. In 1996 I moved to Renton, WA and was accepted to Pacific Lutheran University where I graduated with a BA in Sociology and Criminal Justice in 2000. I moved to Port Orchard, WA and took a job as a Probation Officer in Tacoma, WA. After 3 years of working there I decided to leave that field and started my own gym and became a personal trainer. I got married in 2003 to a man that I had been dating for 7 years (once bitten/twice shy on the marriage thing). He is a System Engineer for Apple Computer. We decided that we need to dry out from all the rain in WA and I was still trying to thaw out from our days in Alaska so we moved to the hottest place we could think of - Lake Havasu City, AZ (where the temperature today, July 15, 2006 is 120 degrees!). I currently work as a Probation Officer for Mohave County Probation and supervise the sex offenders and seriously mentally ill. (I must be insane, but I guess someone has to do it - at least they let me carry a gun for protection).
My husband and I love traveling and have been to Mexico several times, Australia (the best 5 weeks of my life!) and are heading to Germany for Oktoberfest in September. As I can see from many of your profiles, beer drinking is still a common denominator. =-)
My parents still live in Fairbanks in the summer time so I have been back twice in the last 3 years. What changes have occurred! I have run into several classmates from our class, other classes or their parents over the years in Hawaii, WA, and all over Alaska. (Lance Cook: I am still upset that I missed your parents when they came to see me in Port Orchard, WA).
I was saddened tremendously to see we have lost 7 of our classmates already, especially to such tragedy.
I would love to re-connect with any of you again. It was wonderful to read your bio's and see what terrific accomplishments you have all achieved. Most especially I was happy to see that Shelley Hall graduated from Law School, that Howard Zach is happy in Colorado, that Cami Vogt is getting married, that Jeannette Davis continues to do work for the American Red Cross, and that Julie Eales in also a Probation Officer III, monitoring sex offenders.
I will look forward to our 25th reunion and will make plans to see you all then.
Anyone wanting a great vacation in the sunshine is welcome to come visit us - we have a great pool in the backyard!
Jillene

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
