Megan Wheeler O'Connell
Can't wait to see everyone!
Life after High School for me is what I would call a whirl wind tour! After graduation, I attended Casper College to earn my Associates Degree in Theatre; in that time I also was on the Competitive Forensics team (along with Jessica Hurless) and we received a National Silver Award for our Readers Theatre on Cloning! We took the national level by surprise that year and it was AWESOME! I also starred in several productions at the college including: Damn Yankees and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat.
After two years in Casper I sought out to finish my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre at one of the top 10 schools for the program, which landed me in beautiful Stevens Point, Wisconsin for the next three years. In that time I performed leading roles in the following shows: Into the Woods, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Cinderella, Closer than Ever, The Doctor in Spite of Himself, and Sweet Charity.
After graduation I worked at a professional theatre in Illinois for the summer and performed leading roles in Footloose, Joseph …, Children of a Lesser God, Sound of Music, and the Tortoise and the Hare.
Due to the horribly crashing economy in Chicago my fiancé and I decided to look for another city to call home. Since I was from Casper and he was an inner city Chicago guy we found a happy medium in Omaha, NE where we have been for the last five years.
Where we are today: I have been an Independent Consultant for Close to my Heart four years now. My current title is Executive Manager and I simply LOVE doing it all! I love the hobby of stamping and scrapbooking, I love teaching people, and I love training consultants! Marketing and Sales fits well with my training and so taking on my own business has been a truly rewarding experience. I also, in the past 5 years have worked for Bank of the West in their Purchasing department (when it was Commercial Federal) and most recently moving into the Adjustments department – learning even more about business and back office banking. My husband is a Network Administrator (computer wiz) for a Berkshire Hathaway Insurance Company. Last year we built our first house and my younger brother Aaron (who went to Creighton College here)-- he, his wife Ashley, our nephew Ethan and niece Estelle also built a house -18 houses up the street from us! It has been nice to form such a wonderful adult relationship with my younger sibling and live so very close to each other. My parents are just grateful because they come and see us about every 3 weeks and can see us all just by traveling to one place!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
