Michelle Ware Cooper
Hi to everybody! It was such a nice surprise to hear from Marnie. I have lost touch with many of my friends through years of moves with my family. I attended the University of Wyoming from 1987-1992 where I dual majored in Special Education and Elementary Education. While attending the University, I met and married my husband Bob in 1990. We both graduated in 1992 and began the first of our many adventures. My husband worked for a mining company for 10 years which had us living in Utah, Wyoming, and California. While he was learning new jobs, I was busy with teaching jobs that ranged from junior high to a school for severly handicapped students. In 1993, we were blessed with our son, Cody, who just became a teenager two weeks ago! After two broken teaching contracts to move with my family, I gave teaching a rest and devoted my time to being a stay at home mom, which led to our second blessing of Kimberly in 1999.
In 2000, we left the west and headed out to Michigan and began learning the life of the Midwest. We lived in Alpena for 2 years, were transferred to Tulsa, OK for 4 months, and then back to Alpena for 2 more years. We were transferred again in 2004 to Novi, Michigan. My husband and I both miss the Western way of life that we grew up with, but our children call Michigan home as it is where they have lived the longest.
My parents are back living in Wyoming as is my husband's brother and his family. Every time we come back to visit, my son teases me and says, "Mom, are you going to start crying again when we fly into Denver?" I always do when I see those Rocky Mountains. I am looking forward to seeing everyone in July and hope to get in touch with some of you sooner.
