Cathey (Catherine) Ford Barbiero

I'm married to a former classmate - Sammy Barbiero - since Oct. 1998. His first time - my second time. I have a step-daughter that will turn 23 the end of March 2009 - who graduated Cosmotology School in 2005, has worked at several different salons and is now working at Wells Fargo Bank. Sam is retired - his company Consolidated Freightways went bankrupt in 2002. He has medical issues with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Myeloma.... but doing very well in 2009!

I have previously lived in Colorado and California - returned to Utah in 1988.

I am presently employed at E-Corp, Inc. - an SBA 8a construction company that does construction work for the government (parks, Military Bases, etc.) I have held positions involving construction for the past 30 +/- years (Cannon Assoc./Mountain Creek Builders, Kaiser Alum., Star Roofing, Layton Constr., Smith-Layton Assoc., Howa Constr. Union Pointe Constr., Chung & Assoc., etc.). And right after the 20th Reunion I worked for our 'old' class president Jon Liddiard for about a year when he began his Brody Chemical business.

Sam and I purchased our house in 1999 located between 39th & 45th South, between 1500 E. & Highland Dr. We love the neighborhood and Sam enjoys working in the yard.

We had three cats - 2 female, 1 male (the male passed away March '06). Aug. 2007 we adopted a rescue dog (part poodle/part terrier named Mr. Muttley).

I stay in touch with as many old classmates as I can - I have organized several GHS gal get togethers - as of Oct. 2006 we began getting together approx. every 6 months - 10-27-07 was our most recent gathering -- please view the photo album noted in my profile (Classmates.com) for photos of the gals who have attended these latest gatherings.

I stay busy with work, home and my favorite hobbies - interior design, miniatures, collecting dolls, photography and scrapbooking... I have a binder that contains photos from the 10-yr, 15yr, 20-yr, 30-yr and now the 35th Reunions. I am the Classmates.com Reunion Contact and the Classreport.org site Administrator. Our 40th (can you believe it?) Reunion is tentitively planned for Heber, UT area / Jordanelle Reservoir.

As of June 2008, I have begun a home-based business "Every Day Memories, LLC". I specialize in creating scrapbook pages for those who want them but do not want to make them -- scrapbooker for hire! Contact me at 801-272-9293 if you want me to help you with your scrapbook pages -- I do custom scrapbooking and photography. If you supply the materials - I will do scrapbooking for $20/hour; if I supply the materials the cost is $12/page 8-1/2" x 11" and $15/page for 12" x 12" and a contract will need to be signed for all work I am hired for.
