Jennifer Blake Ramert

Hello Everyone

    In the 10 years since graduation I have never really left school. It started at Del Mar and progressed to TAMUCC where in 2004 I received my BA in History. During this time I also meet the man I would marry. Yes I was able to meet someone as crazy as me. Aaron is a Marine and when we married in May of 2004 I joined him in San Diego, California.
    In San Diego I began school again, this time to get my Masters in Education. Teaching High School History has always been my dream, and being credentialed in California is a nightmare. As it turns out a credential is only 5 credits away from that of a Masters, so that is what I set out to do. As of now I have two classes left and the completion of my student teaching. One more month.
    I have been very fortunate in my placement for student teaching. I was accepted into the Department of Defense’s program and placed in H.H. Arnold High School at the Army Air Field Base in Wiesbaden, Germany. This placement was planned to coincide with my husband’s deployment to Iraq so I would have something to do. I have been in Germany since January 25th and will return on June 19th. I have gotten to see great deal of Europe with this placement.
    It is my plan to make a road trip to Texas this summer. I hope to make it down to Corpus but none of my family lives there any more. Kenneth is still in College Station and Kimberly is now in Austin. All of the rest of the family is spread out everywhere else. Texas is a big state.
