Class of 1989 20 year Reunion this July25th!!!
Guys,
According to the “official” alumni class website, our 20 year reunion is scheduled for the weekend of July 25th 2009 in Corpus!

Today's Featured Biography
Jackie Townsend Thurston
Hey fellow Bluffers! I cannot believe how fast the time has flown by. It just seems like yesterday that we were in Sr. English class memorizing our scene from Macbeth. Whew, how quickly time goes!
I graduated from Texas A&M Corpus Christi with a BA in English and a minor in Theatre Arts. My first teaching position was actually at FBHS. It was so comforting to begin a career in a familiar setting. I married my college love, John Thurston. We moved first to McAllen and then to El Paso where I taught Theater Arts at middle schools there. John received a promotion which brought us back to Corpus and family and friends. It was then that I decided to stop teaching and try something else. I have been a pharmaceutical sales rep for the last 5 years and I love it. It is actually very similar to teaching in many ways.
I still see Dawn Vest Howard, Andrea Delaney Avendano, Julie Dittmar Webb, Rick Smith, Derek Moore Burgess, Angela Meadows Partridge, Danielle Gaines Aguilar fairly regularly. In fact, technically I am related to Rick Smith. His wife and my husband are brother and sister!
We enjoy watching the Bluff football games on Friday nights. It’s weird seeing the kids playing and cheering on the field. At times I think I’m watching our old friends down there. In fact, the Alma Mater routine that the cheerleaders do is the old one that Dawn and I made up in ’87. Dawn’s daughter is a varsity cheerleader now. So, she is down there doing some of the old routines and cheers (and lots of new ones we couldn’t possibly have ever done) Bazaar!!!!
I really enjoy reading everyone’s bios and can’t wait for the 20th.
