Today's Featured Biography
John Hasen
After high school entered Ohio State College of Engineering September 1950.
Drafted US Army July 1952, served in Korea March 1953 – May 1954, after cease fire, was involved in establishing first farming village and moving farmers north of the 38 parallel.
Returned Ohio State on GI Bill September 1954, graduated Mechanical Engineering June 1958 .
Worked as Engineer for The Boeing Co. for 11 years. Worked in Seattle, WA on B-52 and Minute Man ICBM programs and then spent 6 years working on the Saturn SIC (first stage booster for Apollo missions), member of launch team for early Apollo missions including the moon landing.
Worked as Reliability Engineer/Supervisor for Ford Motor Company for 25 years,retiring early 1995
Married Shirley Arbaugh (from Southern Ohio) March 1958, two children, Daughter in Belleville Michigan and Son in Durham North Carolina. Shirley died in August 2006.
Married Dana Costin (NHS Class 1951) January 2008. Dana died May 2010.
After living in Seattle, Washington; Huntsville, Alabama; Merrit Island, Florida; Alamogordo, New Mexico; and Belleville, Michigan returned to Columbus area (Powell) after retirement in 1995.
