Today's Featured Biography
Sandra Domagala Konkright
1960 - graduated CCHS
1961 - married Joe Konkright
1964 - moved to Spokane, then to Portland and back and forth following horse racing seasons.
1969 - purchased 10 acres in Ridgfield, WA
1969 to 1976 worked clerical and editorial assignments for Oregon Thoroughbred Breeders, Portland Meadows Racing, Montana Fair Circuit, Daily Racing Form, Lethbridge Whoop Up Downs, Boise LesBois Park, and Park Jefferson in South Dakota. Heavily involved in the 4-H Horse program and the kids and I successfully showed part Arabian horses and bred Dalmatian dogs.
1977 - moved to Littleton, CO -- Joe working at Centennial Race Track, Sandra working for Loretto Heights College, and then Martin Marietta Aerospace. Since we bought in town, we boarded the horses in nearby stables and continued showing. After putting our last old Dalmatian down we downsized and raised several litters of registered Pug dogs.
1990 - graduated Regis College with B.S. in Business Management, minor in Computer Science. Took promotion to Mechanical Engineering Department Administrator.
1997 - took early 20-year retirement from Martin Marrietta Aerospace, sold the snow shovels, and moved to one acre in the St. George, UT desert !!
1997 - 2004 worked part-time Office Management jobs for a holistic lecturer, a home builder, and did payroll for Tuachan Amphitheatre while traveling to a lot of street rod car shows.
2005 - YA HOO - Fully retired and free to travel at will.
2006 to 2010 - Still have a Pug dog and bought two lovable miniature mares. They are addictive, we train them to pull a cart, show them, and have added a 31" stallion and have two unsold weanlings.
2013 - Two grandsons and two granddaughters all out of high school and doing colleges. 2014 - Sold the mini-ranch and moved to town, larger house with smaller yard !! Put our beloved 14 y.o. Puggy Tsu to sleep in Sept.
2015 Looking forward to the All 60's reunion.
