Today's Featured Biography
Bob Baldwin
I finished my Petroleum Engineering degree in 1980 from Montana Tech. Married Gertie Benner 1979 who graduated from Baker High School and Rocky Mountain. I worked as a petroleum engineer for several years in North Dakota and then started to write software. When the oil industry went into a slump in the late 80's, I started writing software for other industries. We moved to Seattle to help start a software company. We then came back to North Dakota to start another software company.
While in ND, I was contacted by a fellow PE that wanted to start a software company that would serve the oil and gas industry. In 1994 we started Production Access and in August of 2000 we moved to Houston to be close to most of the oil and gas companies in the country. Now our software is being used to monitor around 15% of the wells in the US.
In 2010 I started a new company CNG 4 America which builds and manages Compressed Natural Gas stations to help us get off the foreign oil dependence.
As of January 2007, we started a new company (Upstream Professionals - upstreamprofessionals.com) consulting to oil and gas companies.
We have homeschooled both our children all the way through school. DaNae spent one year at Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, FL. Brandon graduated from Texas A&M.
Gertie and my daughter DaNae finished studying to get their Master Herbalist degree from The School of Natural Healing (www.snh.cc). They finished this in June of 2005.
DaNae was married Thanksgiving weekend 2005 to Nathan Johnson. Nathan graduated from Oak Hills Bible College in May 2005. We now have 3 grandchildren - Joshua, Jonathan, and Joy. Great fun!
My son Brandon is now living in Portland, OR and is a famous Youtuber with the channel Gismoslip.

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
