Carla White Parlova

I felt lucky to have been a member of the Bozeman Senior High class of 1969. I was well prepared for college which is a good thing since I have been learning ever since.
I went to Pacific Lutheran University majoring in nursing for 1 1/2 years then dropped out to go to Bible college at Community Chapel Bible College. I graduated from there after 4 years then when an additional year to have a better foundation. I returned to PLU and received at Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1978. I've worked in various capacities since then, hospital work in surgical, oncology, and medical floors, I've specialized in aphersis for 10 years then took a almost 7 year sabbatical in which I went to a Community college and got a coupld of associate degrees in criminal justice and forensic technology. Unfortunately there are not a lot of good paying jobs in that area so I went back to nursing.
I am now in ambulatory care and again specialized in wound care. I am working at a clinic very close to my house so don't have much of a commute.
My husband and I have been married for 30 years in November 2009. We were unable to have children but have had dogs which we spoil rotten. The two I have now are half pomeranian and half Lhasa Apso (both born in Montana)
I am happy to say I've been a born again christian for about 54 years and have found it to be a challenging never boring life in which I have found many friends who have enriched my life. I've been on 4 mission trips (Nepal, Uganda and Senegal) which I've been able to use my nursing skills and came back appreciating what we have here in the USA.
I plan on working until I'm 70 at least and then seeing if maybe I'll be overseas for a longer period of time.
